The JA Inspire program is a unique and collaborative effort between educators and industry leaders that aims to help students explore potential career paths and prepare for the workforce. This year, the program will include an in-person event called JA Inspire to Hire, which is presented by Charles River Laboratories and is geared towards high school juniors and seniors.

Locally, that takes place in Fairhaven Hall at the Richland County Fairgrounds this Thursday, February 23 beginning at 9:00 AM.

This two-hour experience builds on the JA Inspire curriculum by helping students match their interests and skills to real careers, learn about soft skills, and identify steps to achieve their professional goals. The program also offers the valuable opportunity for students to make live connections with local employers and businesses.

In addition to the in-person event, there are also virtual versions of the JA Inspire program available for middle and high school students in various locations across California and Chicago. These virtual programs are interactive experiences that empower students with work readiness skills and help prepare them for life after high school graduation.

Career exploration is an important part of the process of choosing a career and achieving one’s professional goals. There are various resources available to help students explore potential career paths, such as career aspiration exercises and career exploration surveys. Using technology like augmented and virtual reality can also be an effective way for students to gain hands-on experience and explore different career pathways.

Ultimately, career exploration is an essential step in the journey towards achieving one’s professional goals. It allows individuals to assess their current situation, envision where they want to be, and navigate the path from point A to point B. The JA Inspire program is a valuable resource that can help students on this journey by providing them with the skills, knowledge, and connections they need to succeed in their chosen career paths.
