Mansfield’s Carousel Works, the country’s leading creator and manufacturer of custom carousels, is stepping into the future this month.

The new carousel in Mill River Park in Stamford, Connecticut will open on May 13. According to this story on StamfordAdvocate.com, this very modern version features “horses, a frog, a crab, a seal and its pups, even a firefly.” The animals and creatures were chosen by Stamford children. Unlike Richland Carousel Park, the Stamford carousel is housed in a very modern, angular pavilion.
