The first hint of Christmas in Bellville isn’t snow. It’s the sound of crafters unloading tables, the smell of fresh baked goodies drifting through a school hallway, and the steady stream of shoppers carrying bags stuffed with handmade gifts.

Christmas in the Valley returns to Clear Fork High School on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, once again turning the campus into a holiday marketplace.

Where Community Meets Creativity

Walk in the front doors and you’re greeted by rows of displays that feel more like pop-up studios than vendor booths. More than 60 makers fill the hallways and gym with hand-stitched textiles, woodwork, jewelry, seasonal décor, soaps, candles, and a surprising amount of one-of-a-kind finds you don’t see at big-box stores.

Everything sold is handmade. That may seem like a marketing line, but here it’s a rule. Each crafter applies months in advance, and the show only accepts original, handcrafted work.

The result is a juried-style event without the pretension. Friendly, relaxed, and distinctly Bellville.

A Fundraiser Wrapped in Holiday Cheer

The $1 admission goes directly to the Clear Fork Music Department, helping fund things like uniforms and performance needs for the Valley Marching Band. Food sales in the cafeteria go right back to the band as well.

So yes, buying a coffee or a bowl of chili actually helps teenagers perform in brand-new uniforms. That alone makes the cookie table easier to justify.

What to Expect

• More than 60 crafters from across the region
• Food vendors and homemade treats
• Giveaways and vendor “spotlight” features leading up to the event
• Crowds. Bring patience and a large tote bag.

People really do plan their holiday shopping around this show. It’s not unusual to see shoppers making multiple loops through the building, returning to that one booth they couldn’t stop thinking about.

A Day Made for Traditions

Some folks come with a list. Others just wander, letting inspiration find them. Many make it a tradition:

• Friends meeting for breakfast in town
• Parents and kids comparing ornaments
• Couples picking out the first holiday decoration of the season

It’s not just shopping. It’s the unofficial start of Christmas in the Clear Fork Valley.
