February in Richland County can feel long. The holidays are over, spring is still a rumor, and cabin fever starts to set in. That is exactly when the Clear Fork Valley Foundation throws open the doors to one of the most anticipated winter gatherings of the season and gives people a reason to get out, meet up, and enjoy themselves for a cause that matters.

On Saturday, February 7, the Butler Event Center will host Arctic Blast, an evening built around good food, local drinks, and community spirit. It is a 21 and over event that blends the atmosphere of a tasting festival with the heart of a hometown fundraiser.

A Room Full of Local Flavor

From the moment doors open at 6:00 PM, guests will find themselves surrounded by some of the region’s most familiar names in food, wine, and brewing.

Participating vendors include:

  • 1285 Winery
  • Michael Lynn Winery and Brewing Co.
  • Clever Sweets
  • On The Rise BBQ
  • Der Dutchman
  • One Hope Wine
  • Fast Eddies
  • Select Phoenix Brewing Company and Anheuser-Busch products

And for those who appreciate a good pour of something stronger, there will be more than 30 bourbon tasting opportunities throughout the evening.

This is not a formal, sit-down dinner. It is designed as a roaming, social experience. Guests move from table to table, sample what catches their eye, talk with vendors, and linger in conversations that stretch longer than expected. It is as much about connection as it is about tasting.

Tickets That Turn into Tastings

Admission is priced at $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Each ticket includes 10 tasting tickets that can be used for bourbon, beer, wine, food, and even raffle entries. Additional tickets are available for $1 each, which makes it easy for guests to go back for favorites without worrying about running out too soon.

Limited private tables are also available for those who want to gather a group of friends, coworkers, or family members and make the night a shared experience. Tickets can be purchased online at CFVF.eventbrite.com.

More Than a Winter Party

What makes Arctic Blast stand out is not just the vendor list or the tasting options. It is the purpose behind it. Every conversation, every tasting, every raffle ticket directly supports the work of the Clear Fork Valley Foundation. The event is a reminder that local philanthropy is not always quiet and formal. Sometimes it looks like laughter around a high-top table, a plate of barbecue in one hand, and a bourbon glass in the other.

It is a fundraiser that feels less like an obligation and more like a night out you were already hoping to have.

A February Tradition in the Making

For many, Arctic Blast has become a winter ritual. It breaks up the season, offers a chance to reconnect with people you have not seen since December, and puts a spotlight on the local businesses that make Richland County’s food and drink scene so distinctive.

By the end of the night, guests leave warmed by more than just the bourbon. They leave knowing they have supported something meaningful in their own backyard. In a month when people often feel stuck indoors, Arctic Blast gives the community a reason to gather, taste, talk, and give back all at once.
