Roaring engines will return to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course next summer as the racing facility prepares for its 66th season, featuring five major spectator weekends and a full calendar of motorsports competition. The course has announced its lineup for next year.

The 2027 schedule will bring back some of the track’s most popular traditions, including the Honda Indy 200 over Fourth of July weekend, endurance sports car racing, vintage automobiles, and two consecutive weekends devoted to motorcycles. The season’s major spectator events will run from June 11 through August 1, with more than 20 additional club racing weekends scheduled between April and October.

Sports Cars Start the Summer

The action begins June 11-13 with the fourth annual O’Reilly Auto Parts Four Hours of Mid-Ohio, featuring the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. The centerpiece will be a four-hour endurance race, one of only two such competitions on the series’ 2027 calendar. Additional racing will feature the VP Racing SportsCar Challenge and USF Juniors Presented by Continental Tire.

Just one week later, June 18-20, Racing America at Mid-Ohio returns for its 45th edition, continuing its distinction as the facility’s longest-running spectator event. The weekend will bring together classic and contemporary race cars, with competition from the Trans Am Series, Sportscar Vintage Racing Association, Rush, Prototype America, and Racing America’s NA Formula Ladder.

Car enthusiasts will also have opportunities to explore vehicles off the track. The British Car Showdown is scheduled for Saturday, June 19, followed by the Concours d’Elegance on Sunday, June 20.

An Independence Day Racing Tradition

The biggest weekend of the Mid-Ohio season arrives July 2-4 with the 44th running of the Honda Indy 200, featuring the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. The event has become a Fourth of July tradition at the track, combining one of Ohio’s premier annual motorsports competitions with the holiday weekend.

Supporting races will include a tripleheader for USF Pro 2000 Presented by Continental Tire and a doubleheader for USF2000 Presented by Continental. For fans who make the annual trip to Mid-Ohio, the holiday weekend will again offer multiple days of open-wheel racing and activities surrounding the main INDYCAR event.

Two Wheels Take Over in July

Following the INDYCAR weekend, Mid-Ohio will shift its attention from automobiles to motorcycles. Permco AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days returns July 23-25 for its 32nd appearance at the facility. The American Motorcyclist Association’s annual celebration will transform the 380-acre property into a gathering place for motorcycle enthusiasts, with racing on asphalt and dirt, motorcycle shows, and North America’s largest motorcycle swap meet.

The following weekend, July 30-August 1, Permco MotoAmerica Superbikes at Mid-Ohio will conclude the five-event spectator schedule. The event, making its 36th appearance at the track, will feature multiple classes of MotoAmerica competition, bringing modern superbike racing to the circuit immediately after the vintage motorcycle celebration.

Additional supporting race series for the five weekends will be announced later.
