Snow Trails plans to start its 65th winter on Thursday with skiing and snowboarding from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. After Opening Day, the resort shifts immediately into a seven-day schedule. Peak Days arrive December 20 and run through January 4, when crowds are heaviest and extended hours are more common. Holiday hours include 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Christmas Eve, closed on Christmas Day, and reopening December 26 at 9:00 AM.

Tubing Park and On-Mountain Progress

The Tubing Park needs a little more help from the cold, so its season begins December 18 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and December 19 from 5:00 PM to midnight. Daily tubing starts December 20 during Peak Days, returning to its normal Thursday–Sunday schedule after January 4. Most trails will be open on Opening Day, with West Woods as the lone exception while snowmaking continues and The Woods Terrain Park takes shape. Guests should expect occasional snowmaking during operating hours, especially early in the season.

Tickets, Programs, and Guest Planning

Snow Trails requires all lift and tubing tickets to be purchased online in advance, covering all dates through February. Walk-ups aren’t available this year, so planning ahead matters. Children’s Programs start December 13 and will operate through winter. Beginners will notice a few upgrades, including refreshed conveyor carpet lifts and a new Alpine Rope Tow serving the expanded Progression and Alpine Terrain Parks.

What to Expect Throughout the Season

The resort is aiming to offer a nearly full trail network from the start, and its snowmaking crews have been taking advantage of every cold window. The Snow Report remains the best place for up-to-the-minute information on conditions and hours. Snow Trails has also introduced an AI Chat Assistant to handle routine questions, though Guest Services stays the more reliable option for anything complex. To set the tone for the season, the LDNL band returns for a Kick-Off Party on December 20 in The Snowflake Loft, followed by a full winter lineup of live performances.
