One of the few driving perks in the winter months is a reduction in the number of orange barrels facing Ohio drivers.

Road projects have dwindled down to a few across the state, and as a result the Ohio Department of Transportation’s weekly construction updates have ended for the year.

The only one that remains in the three county area we typically include in these reports is the US 30 major rehabilitation project. According to ODOT District 3, the following work is undergoing:

U.S. 30, from state Route 309 to just east of the 5th Avenue ramps, will have single lane closures for a major rehabilitation project. Traffic will always be maintained.

New impacts — Due to winter weather delays, the U.S. 30 westbound ramps to/from Route 545 are tentatively scheduled to reopen at the end of next week.

Continuing impacts — Daytime single lane closures on U.S. 30 eastbound and westbound throughout the project to install embankment and grade adjustment to the temporary

1812Blockhouse will resume our weekly ODOT District Three updates when the construction season opens next spring.
