The U.S. Marshals Service shared on Thursday that over two dozen children from northeast Ohio have been recovered in the last 20 days through Operation Safety Net.

The announcement came from US Marshal Pete Elliott, as well as the offices of the Cleveland, East Cleveland, and Newburgh Heights Police Departments and the Cuyahoga County Sheriff.

The recovered children are between the ages of 13 and 18, and were found in Cleveland, East Cleveland, Akron, Mansfield, Euclid, Willioughby, and as far away as Miami, Florida.

Approximately one quarter of these cases are related to human trafficking or prostitution.

The work of Operation Safety Net continues, and the US Marshals Service is seeking support from the community in locating these missing children. Tips about where these kids may be can be called into a tip line at 1-866-492-6833.
