Week 13 of the OSHAA 2016 football season is here, and the Regional Championship games have been scheduled. Two Richland County teams continue their seasons by joining in the elite 56 teams left in post season play.

In Division III, the 9-3 Lexington Minutemen will travel to Tiffin, where they will play Toledo Central Catholic at Frost-Kalnow Stadium. The Fighting Irish are unbeaten at 12-0, with three of their opponents this season failing to post a score. Last week they defeated University School by a score of 53-13; Lexington posted an exciting 30-19 victory over Sandusky. The game in Tiffin is on Saturday at 7:00 PM.

Then, in Division IV, the Shelby Whippets take on the Steubenville Big Red at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium in Massillon. Both teams are 11-1; the Whippets beat Philo 40-12, while the Big Red defeated Johnstown-Monroe by a score of 26-8. One of Steubenville’s wins this year was over Canada Prep Football Academy in St. Catherines, Ontario. This contest is on Friday at 7:30 PM.
