The City of Mansfield recently profiled economic development activities for 2016 as it released its third quarter newsletter.

“Through the first nine months of 2016, a number of economic development projects have moved forward that will result in significant investment in facilities and tangible personal property assets. The projects are a mix of existing and new to Mansfield businesses.

Newman Technologies constructed an 80,000 square foot building and installed a new state of the art tube mill that enables them to produce tubing for their manufacturing needs.

84 Lumber has acquired the former Roberts & Dybdahl building located on State Route 13 east of Mansfield Lahm Regional Airport. The company will open a truss manufacturing operation on the site after making alterations of the buildings to meet their needs. The company plans to create 58 new jobs on the site initially and expects to grow to 150 employees within three years.

Hess Industries, LTD has acquired a building in Sawyer Industrial Park that is currently being renovated to accommodate their tool & die shop and their other manufacturing operations. The company has been located at Braintree since they were founded in 1999.

Carol Fabrication, LLC has acquired the building located at 95 Ohio Brass Road. The company has also acquired a number of CNC machines and will begin manufacturing parts immediately. They will create 4 new jobs within 12 months and anticipate future job growth that will be based on the growth of their business.

A number of other companies in Mansfield continue to invest in new state of the art equipment to ensure that they can meet their customer needs.”

The newsletter also features a message from the Mayor, a look at the gas aggregation ballot measure, an employee spotlight, a feature on Richland Carrousel Park, and other items. It can be read here.
