🏃 Pastor turns milestone birthday into camp fundraiser
Monday carryover: M1 Church pastor Mark Lehman celebrated his 60th birthday by running 60 kilometers, or approximately 37.3 miles, through Mansfield.
The route began at 2:00 AM Sunday and followed much of the Richland B&O Trail before returning to the church around noon. Lehman set a $30,000 fundraising goal to help young people attend church camp. A similar effort on his 55th birthday raised $27,000.
🚧 Sixth Street closes for water-main repairs
Monday city notice: Sixth Street is closed between Bowman and Sycamore streets while Mansfield crews complete water-main repairs.
Construction signs are posted at the work site, and traffic is being advised to seek an alternate route. The city did not provide a reopening time in its initial announcement. See the City of Mansfield notice. mansfieldohio.gov
⛳ Two local golfers compete at district today
Earlier Mansfield News Journal preview, happening Tuesday: Ontario’s Isabella Deel and Lexington’s Aniyah Monica are competing in the Division I district tournament at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green.
Deel qualified with a 91 at the sectional tournament, while Monica advanced with a 95. They claimed two of the five individual qualifying positions available to golfers whose teams did not advance. Read the Mansfield News Journal report. AOL
🐍 Gorman Nature Center invites visitors to feeding time
Happening Tuesday: The Richland County Park District’s Public Animal Feeding Day runs from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at Gorman Nature Center, 2295 Lexington Avenue.

🎃 Library branches lean into fall tonight
The Mansfield/Richland County Public Library has several seasonal activities scheduled this evening.
The Main Library presents an interactive screening of “Hocus Pocus” from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The Lucas branch offers a Bundt Pan Pumpkins craft from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, while the Madison branch hosts a Crescent Moon Door Hanger project during the same hour.
