A routine traffic stop on February 15 turned into a significant drug arrest in Crawford County, according to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies, working alongside the METRICH Enforcement Unit, stopped a vehicle and arrested two Mansfield men after discovering a substantial amount of suspected methamphetamine, firearms, and cash inside.

What Happened

The arrests took place during a vehicle stop within Crawford County. Inside the vehicle were:

  • Randall Scott Leicy, 33, of Mansfield
  • William E. Morgan, 48, of Mansfield
  • A juvenile passenger

During the stop, deputies reportedly seized approximately half a pound of methamphetamine, two firearms, and more than $7,000 in cash. The presence of a juvenile in the vehicle added another layer of seriousness to the case.

Charges Filed

Leicy and Morgan were transported to the Crawford County Justice Center. They are currently being held on the following charges:

  • Drug possession
  • Having weapons under disability
  • Child endangering

Authorities indicated that a report will be forwarded to the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office for review and consideration of additional charges.

Sheriff Scott Kent, Lt. Moser, and Detective Winkelman are encouraging residents to report suspicious activity to the Sheriff’s Office at 419-562-7906 or through the agency’s mobile app. This case remains under review.
