The agenda for Wednesday night’s meeting of the Mansfield City Schools Board of Education may not be the longest of the year, however it does contain a handful of legislative measures including two equipment purchases.

In addition to standard measures dealing with small gifts to the District and personnel recommendations, the Board will look at:

  • The purchase of two 70-plus passenger conventional buses at a cost of $83,031 apiece, and one handicapped conventional bus at a cost of $86,193, all from Truck Sales Service. The District will receive $4,800 for trade-ins.
  • The purchase of new equipment and installation of a public address system at Mansfield Senior High School. The bid from Paladin for $33,872.89 was the lowest of the three bids received.

Also under consideration is a service agreement with Strategic Management Solutions for Category 11 E-Rate funding, broadband internal connection components, managed internal broadband services, and basic maintenance of eligible broadband internal connection components. The fee for these services will be five percent of the funded amount with a minimum fee of $500 whether or not funding is approved.
