When the season ended for Grand Valley State University’s football squad this past weekend in the NCAA Division II Quaterfinals, some 17 seniors saw their last action as Lakers.

The next day, in an article profiling those seniors, a Mansfield Senior alum was specifically cited for excellence on and off the field. The online home for Grand Valley Athletiics featured an article entitled “Team to Remember: Terrell Dorsey Among 17 Proud Seniors Who Persevered.”

Describing Terrell, head coach Matt Mitchell is quoted as saying, “”Terrell has done so much for the team in terms of leadership… He understood what it meant to just be a part of the team and he understood his role.”

According to the story, Terrell’s next step is a degree in sports management and then graduate school, also at GVSU.
