⚖️ Grand jury returns more than 80 indictments
Published Friday: The Richland County Prosecutor’s Office released a new list containing more than 80 indictments, most involving alleged drug offenses.
Among those indicted is 19-year-old Dominick Crose, who faces attempted-murder, felonious-assault and firearm charges stemming from a March incident on Springmill Street. Prosecutors allege Crose fired at another person following an altercation. An indictment represents an accusation, not a finding of guilt. Read Friday’s Richland Source report.
🚔 Mansfield woman sentenced in interstate drug case
Thursday federal release: Allura Ward, 25, of Mansfield, received a 165-month federal prison sentence after pleading guilty to conspiracy and methamphetamine-distribution charges.
Federal investigators said the larger operation transported drugs from California to Ohio through mail parcels, commercial flights and vehicles. Authorities seized more than 33 pounds of methamphetamine and two pounds of cocaine. Read the Justice Department release.
🏫 Ontario schools retain four-star rating
Thursday carryover: Ontario Local Schools received four stars overall on Ohio’s 2025-26 report card.
The district earned five stars for gap closing and graduation. Its college, career, workforce and military-readiness rating improved from two stars to four. Ontario High School and Ontario Middle School each received four stars, while Stingel Elementary earned 4.5. See the Ontario district results.

Friday’s schedule includes an art show from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and specially priced children’s rides from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. General pay-one-price rides run from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
