🏈 Ontario, Shelby and Clear Fork collect big wins
Published Saturday: Ontario improved to 5-0 with a 46-28 victory over Galion. Max Ciroli rushed for more than 100 yards, scored three touchdowns and intercepted a pass for the Warriors. Read the Ontario-Galion game story.

🏠 Six attainable homes planned in Shelby
Friday report: The Richland County Land Bank and Community Building Partners plan to construct six single-family homes in Shelby through Ohio’s Welcome Home program.
The three-bedroom houses will be sold to income-eligible buyers for $200,000 each. One will be built on Oak Street and five on adjoining Second Street lots. Construction could begin before the end of the year.
A prospective-buyer meeting is scheduled for 10:00 AM October 3 at Shelby City Hall. Read the housing report.
🚧 Shelby considers State Route 61 work
Friday report: Shelby City Council will consider legislation Monday allowing ODOT to complete pavement-preservation work on a roughly 195-foot city-owned section of State Route 61 near Bistline Road.
The larger micro-surfacing project is intended to seal minor cracks, improve skid resistance and extend the pavement’s useful life. A construction schedule has not been announced. Read the Shelby News Reporter.
🎨 Art, architecture and automobiles fill Saturday
Downtown Mansfield’s Secret City Tour runs from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, offering access to normally closed upper floors and historic spaces.
The Manifest Mansfield Art Festival follows from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. At the Ohio State Reformatory, the High Wall Cruise In runs from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, while Bags Behind Bars continues from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

🎡 Bellville Street Fair reaches its final weekend
Saturday begins with the art show from 9:00 AM to noon and the junior livestock sale at 10:00 AM. The pet show begins at 11:00 AM, followed by children’s rides and the kiddie pedal pull at 1:00 PM.
Evening activities include pay-one-price rides from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, an Eagles and Linda Ronstadt tribute at 6:30 PM and square dancing at 9:30 PM.

Night two of Mansfield Speedway’s Oktoberfest Sprint Car Special runs from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
