The Renaissance Performing Arts Association is bringing a rare gathering of country music heavy hitters to Mansfield on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 7:30 PM, when The Frontmen take the stage. The trio unites the lead voices behind several of the biggest country hits of the 1990s, each with a sound that once dominated radio playlists and long summer drives.
The Sound of an Era
Richie McDonald, known for his years fronting Lonestar, joins Larry Stewart of Restless Heart and Tim Rushlow of Little Texas. Together they’ve moved more than 30 million records and built careers that took them from quiet studios to stadium crowds, USO tours, and even a performance on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
Their Mansfield show leans into the music that made them fixtures of the decade. Expect familiar openings that trigger instant recognition: “Amazed,” “I’m Already There,” “The Bluest Eyes in Texas,” and “God Blessed Texas,” along with stories about how those songs came to be. The format is personal rather than polished for effect, giving the night an easy warmth that suits their history.
What Makes This Trio Work
None of this would land if the three didn’t blend well on stage. Their harmonies are tight, and the mix of voices carries an emotional weight that sneaks up on you. Kara Bechstein, Programs Manager for the Renaissance, put it simply: the group doesn’t just run through a list of hits; they build a connection that feels real and lived-in. That balance of nostalgia and presence is why this project has grown well beyond a novelty pairing.
Part of a Larger Season
The concert is presented as part of the Avita Health System Concert Series, and it’s an easy entry point for anyone who stepped away from country music after the 90s but still remembers those songs by feel.
Tickets and Extras
Tickets begin at $15. For those making a night of it, the Renaissance offers a Date Night Package that adds wine and sweets to any pair of seats for an additional $5 per ticket. With the show landing just after the holidays, it also works as a gift for someone who wouldn’t mind a walk down their musical memory lane.
Tickets are available through www.rentickets.org, by phone at 419-522-2726, or at the Renaissance Theatre Box Office at 138 Park Avenue West in Mansfield.
