OSU Holding Day Of Giving

The Ohio State University is holding its first-ever Day of Giving this week, with an opportunity to designate a gift to benefit a specifc area of university operation – including support for OSU Mansfield.

This is a 36-hour event for alumni, students and friends to come together and support Ohio State. On February 14 and 15, Buckeyes can give back and pay forward in support of their favorite cause, college or program. Buckeye Nation is encouraged to come together and show its support. More…

UNITED WAY DONATION – The Ohio State University at Mansfield and North Central State College have collected a combined $8,976 for the Richland County United Way Campaign.

SPEAKER AT MANSFIELD ROTARY — Dr. Norman Jones, Ph.D., of The Ohio State University at Mansfield shared information on the local campus during a meeting of the Rotary Club of Mansfield. Ohio State Releases Enrollment Report; Reaches Record Number

The Ohio State University has released its annual enrollment report, covering both its main campus and its regional campuses including OSU Mansfield.

It its release, M. Dolan Evanovich, Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Planning, shared several overall statistics. Noting that the first year retention rate is now at 94.2%, the report said that the current Freshman class came into OSU with an 29.1 average ACT composite, and 63% in the top 10% of their high school class. Minority enrollment is also up – by some 11% to a total of 12,314 on all campuses. More…

Outdoor Photography Workshop at OSU-M

Just a few spots are left in Capturing Nature’s Wonders, an Oct. 18 outdoor photography workshop taught by Jim Doty Jr., author of Digital Photography Exposure for Dummies, at Ohio State University’s Mansfield campus.

Participants “will learn the simple steps that make the difference between ordinary snapshots and extraordinary photos,” said Kathy Smith, head of Ohio State University Extension’s Ohio Woodland Stewards Program, the workshop’s sponsor. OSU Extension is the statewide outreach arm of Ohio State’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences. The Ohio State University Announces Richland County Graduates

The Ohio State University has issued the list of students who earned degrees at commencement exercises on Aug. 7, 2016. The university awarded 1,666 degrees at the ceremony, including 251 doctoral, 10 professional, 494 masters, 796 bachelors and 115 associates.

Students may choose not to have their names released under the provisions of the Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974. Their names have been excluded from the lists.

Juried Exhibition Opening At The Pearl Conard Gallery

New SchoolOn Monday, September 19, the New School 2 juried exhibition for undergraduate students opens at the Pearl Conrad Gallery in Ovalwood Hall on the campus of Ohio State University Mansfield. The exhibition is organized and sponsored by Roy G. Biv Gallery, a nonprofit art gallery located in Columbus.

New School 2 aims to showcase innovative student work and connect student artists from different schools. The exhibition is juried by Marisa Espe, co-founder at M I N T Collectiveand Education Assistant at the Wexner Center for the Arts; David Butler, Education and Outreach Coordinator at the Pizzuti Collection; and Maria DiFranco, a recent Ohio State University MFA graduate and visual artist.
