OhioHealth Mansfield Earns Safety Rating

OhioHealth has announced that seven OhioHealth hospitals achieved the highest A rating in the Leapfrog Spring 2021 hospital safety grades, the only hospital rating system focused exclusively on safety.

Those hospitals include OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

“An ‘A’ safety grade is an elite designation that your communities should be proud of,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “The past year has been extraordinarily difficult for hospitals, but these OhioHealth hospitals show us it is possible to keep a laser focus on patients and their safety, no matter what it takes.” More…

Wingfoot Three To Visit Mansfield On Thursday

Since 1925, the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has been showcasing its brand with a series of lighter than air craft. Until 2014, this was accomplished through a blimp, which is a non-rigid airship; the company now uses three semi-rigid dirigibles, but calls them “blimps” out of a sense of tradition.

On Thursday, Mansfielders and many Richland Countians will get to see Goodyear’s “Wingfoot Three,” which measures 246.4 feet in length and 64.79 in height. The airship will be here as part of a flyover honoring frontline COVID-19 first responders — in our case, saluting the staff at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. More…

Ashland University, Ohio Health In Richland County Benefit From Grant Partnership

Ashland University’s Dwight Schar College of Nursing and Health Sciences has been awarded $198,828 in renewal grant funding from the Ohio Board of Nursing’s Nurse Education Grant Program (NEGP). This two-year grant funding makes possible Ashland’s “Undergraduate Nursing Expansion: Services Excellence and Clinical Faculty Joint Appointments” project in partnership with OhioHealth Mansfield and Shelby Hospitals.
