Medicare Open Enrollment Begins Next Week; Richland Presentation On November 1

Medicare’s annual Open Enrollment period begins October 15 and ends on December 7. The Ohio Department of Aging and the Ohio Department of Insurance encourage all Ohioans with Medicare to review their coverage options and ensure they are choosing the best plan to meet their needs and their budgets.

Nominations Open for Ohio Senior Citizen Hall of Fame

Since 1976, 486 outstanding older Ohioans have been inducted into the Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of Fame, including Mansfield’s Mary L. McDonald just last year (read that 1812Blockhouse post here).

The Ohio Department of Aging is once again accepting nominations for this statewide prestigious recognition. The Hall of Fame honors current or long-time Ohio residents age 60 and older who have made and continue to make a lasting impact on their communities, their professions or their vocations.
