Borrow A Kindle Fire At the MRCPL

Did you know that you can now borrow a Kindle Fire with your Mansfield/Richland County Public Library library card?

Rental periods are for two weeks, and on the Fire you can read the eBook or eBooks of your choice – either ones pre-loaded on the device or those which can be downloaded from the Library eBook App. Six categories of eBooks come pre-loaded on the Kindle Fires from the MRCPL – Romance, Teen, Mystery & Suspense, SciFi/Fantasty/Horror, and “Clean Reads.” More…

The Mansfield Richland County Public Library regularly offers technology-oritented classes and workshops for patrons. Below are events taking place between now and the end of October. Friday events are open for “drop ins,” while the others require pre-registration (call the Computer Lab at 419.521.3146).

An Inside Look At Old Order Amish

On October 19 at 6:30 PM, the Friends of the Library, who support the work of the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library, will hold its Annual Meeting by hosting a talk by an expert on Amish life.

Dr. Paul Gaus, an Ohio author who has published Amish mysteries based on 35 years of observation and conversation with the Amish folk of Holmes County, will speak. His stories present a view of life among the Old Order Amish, a life rarely shown to strangers. During his presentation he will share tales of interesting experiences with the Amish people he has met over the years. More…

Richland County Audits Released

Two locations in Richland County were included in audits released today by the office of the Ohio Auditor of State.
