Let’s Explore The LEXplore Science Camp

Lexington Schools is offering a free outdoors science camp for Lexington students who have completed Kindergarten through Sixth Grade,

The LEXplore Science Camp was first held back in 2019 and is being brought back this year. During the two week event, students become scientists as they participate in hands-on science experiment, explore science concepts in a new way, and work in a creative environment that ignites a curiosity for science as they explore nature.

Lexington Students Honor Area First Responders On 9/11

On Tuesday, in remembrance of the events 17 years ago on 9/11 and the bravery that was displayed by first responders, Lexington Central Elementary fourth graders made lunches, wrote thank you notes, and delivered them to 50 local fire fighters, police, and state highway patrol troopers.

The fourth graders wrote notes of appreciation, decorated lunch bags and delivered the lunches to the Richland County State Highway Patrol, Galion and Ontario Police and Fire Departments, as well as Lexington Police Department and Troy Township Rescue Squad.

Lexington Student Beats The Buzzer At National Spelling Bee

Lexington Junior High Schooler Maggie Sheridan was the master of cool at the recently concluded 2107 Scripps National Spelling Bee. Here’s video proof.

Her “buzzer beater finish” on spelling the word “whirlicote” garnered her a place in national media profiling interesting moments from the event, held recently in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
