OSUM Dean Joining Other Leaders In Discussing How To Reconnect America

The Ohio State University’s “Education for Citizenship Discussion Series,” organized by deans, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and other university leaders, kicked off last week, and hundreds joined in a virtual discussion about fostering deliberative democracy in this era of political polarization.

Mansfield City Schools Discuss Diversity

Mansfield City Schools’ Workforce Diversity Team is “serious and laser-focused” in its efforts to attract employment applicants of all races and ethnic backgrounds, board of education member Gary Feagin said Tuesday evening. Feagin was one of six team members who spoke during the board’s semi-monthly regular meeting at the Raemelton administration building.

Assistant Superintendent Mark Manley, who also serves as human resources director, introduced the discussion, recalling that the district’s diversity plan was adopted unanimously by the board a year ago. “Not many districts in Ohio have a plan,” Manley said. More…
