Each year, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day honors Dr. King’s legacy by providing an opportunity for Americans to renew their own personal vows of citizenship through service to others and engagement in conversations to advance community goals. In Richland County, a January 20 Community Breakfast and Celebration has been planned.
The program will begin at 8:30 AM at is being held at Mansfield Senior High School. Tickets, which include a buffet-style catered breakfast, are priced at $5. Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience for anyone with special needs who is age 14 or older. The prom is sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation; in 2019, 655 churches around the world hosted Night to Shine events for approximately 100,000 honored prom-goers. The event requires a substantial number of volunteers; last year, there were roughly 200,000 of them. More…
