The City of Mansfield has re-issued a call for a live Christmas tree to place on display at Richland Carrousel Park in downtown Mansfield during the upcoming holiday season.
If you have an evergreen tree you would like to donate please contact the Mansfield Street Department at 419- 755-9803.
Trees located within city limits are preferred. The City is requesting the tree be at least 30ft in height. In order for it to be successfully cut and removed the tree it must be accessible to the handling of equipment. More…

No, it’s not Bedford Falls from “It’s a Wonderful Life,” but it is an opportunity to join other area residents for some old-time Christmas traditions and fun.
“Christmas at Central Park” will take place this Thursday evening, December 20, in downtown Mansfield’s Central Park and centering on the gazebo. Beginning at 6PM, enjoy an evening of Christmas cheer featuring Santa Claus, hot chocolate, carols, and crafts.
The event, open to the public, is presented by the City of Mansfield Parks and Recreation Department.

We’ve had the parade, and Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday – now it’s time to official launch the Christmas season in Mansfield.
Christmastime in the City features a number of events happening throughout downtown Mansfield this Friday night. The highlight is the Official Christmas Tree lighting at 6:00 PM in front of Richland Carrousel Park. The lighting is sponsored by STARTEK and will include Mayor Theaker.
Other events that night include the following:
Mid-Ohio Opera and St. Peter’s Music Series will be teaming up to present the Christmas Oratorio by Camille Saint-Saëns, December 11.
Chorus rehearsals will be starting the beginning of October, on Thursday nights from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM at St. Peter’s. There are five choruses, in Latin, interspersed with solo, quartet, and quintet work by the soloists, accompanied by pipe organ. More…
