Richland Gives Brings Generous Results

In a social media post on Tuesday evening, the Richland County Foundation reflected on the annual Richland Gives day, noting “Well, it wasn’t the typical #RichlandGives day and watch party evening; however, our community once again came through with over $350,000 of donations from 950 donors. Thank you!

A review of the results as of the time of this post reflected that the annual campaign netted $356,820 from 950 donors, and that the top five area non-profit organizations in terms of receipts included Discovery School ($17,745 from 56 donors); Renaissance Performing Arts Association ($17,060 from 59 donors); Ohio Bird Sanctuary ($16,648 from 112 donors); The Friendly House ($14,025 from 77 donors); and the Lucas Community Center ($13,495 from 36 donors). Lions Club Organizes Pediatric Cancer Book Drive

The Lions Club Zone 6 is hosting a book drive for the pediatric cancer wards at MedCentral, Akron Children’s, Rainbow and Nationwide Hospitals. They are accepting both new and gently used books, game books, magazines, coloring books, adult coloring books. They will accepts books for all ages, from baby/toddler to adult.

Books will be collected through December 24. Zone 6 drop off locations are Jefferson Township/Bellville Fire Department, Elzy, Stoodt’s Market, Hursh Drug, Wilson Family Realty, Village Hall, and the Bellville Post Office. More…

Giving Tuesday Is Here

Black Friday. Small Business Saturday. Cyber Monday. Those are all over and done with and today it’s time for Giving Tuesday, an international day of charitable giving. Locally, much of that effort is coordinated through the Richland County Foundation’s Richland Gives program.
