Bay Football Club (Bay FC), the Bay Area’s representative in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), has announced the signing of Madison grad Taylor Huff, a three-time All-American midfielder. Huff joins the club on a professional contract through the 2027 season, with an option for 2028. The signing follows her selection to the roster for the U.S. Women’s National Team Futures Camp, set to take place in January in Carson, California. This announcement reflects Bay FC’s continued desire to strengthening its roster with high-caliber talent, aiming to establish itself as a dominant force in the NWSL.

College Career Highlights

Huff’s collegiate journey began at the University of Tennessee, where she earned 2021 SEC Freshman of the Year honors and recorded 15 goals and 12 assists across two seasons. She transferred to Florida State University in 2023, where her impact was immediate. She helped the Seminoles secure the NCAA National Championship that year and tallied an impressive 17 goals and 16 assists in her two seasons. Her ability to deliver consistent performances in crucial matches set her apart as a key player in her team’s success.

  • 2022 First Team All-SEC
  • 2023 National Champion with Florida State
  • 2024 First Team All-ACC honors

During her final season at Florida State in 2024, Huff’s contributions were critical as she posted 12 goals and 10 assists, showcasing her evolution as a playmaker and goal-scorer. Her leadership on and off the pitch earned her accolades and cemented her legacy in collegiate soccer.

Youth Career and National Team Experience

A Mansfield, Ohio native, Huff had a decorated youth soccer career, earning the United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Year title in 2020. She has represented the United States at various youth levels, including appearances with the U-16, U-20, and U-23 Women’s National Teams. Her time with the national teams provided invaluable international experience, further developing her tactical understanding and ability to perform under pressure.

Huff was selected twice for the U-23 national team in 2023, where she made an appearance against France. This experience solidified her reputation as a rising star in American soccer, capable of competing at the highest levels.
