The work of Carnegie Mellon University’s National Robotics Engineering Center, which opened in 1994, put the region on the map as a center of modern robotics. But 55 years earlier, it was research done at Pittsburgh-based Westinghouse Electric Corp. that took the world by storm. This week, media representatives from around the country will join in Philadelphia for the 2016 American Society of News Editors (ASNE) News Leadership Conference. Attendees will participate in workshops, seminars, and other events designed to share the best of new ideas in 21st century journalism.
Included among those presenting will be a Mansfield-based media publisher.
