On September 22, older Ohioans are being offered free medicine review to help prevent falls.

Certain types of medications and drug combinations can cause dizziness, drowsiness and confusion and could contribute to a life-changing fall in older adults. To help Ohioans understand and minimize this risk, the STEADY U Ohio initiative and the Ohio Older Adult Falls Prevention Coalition have partnered with 36 local pharmacies and other community partners to provide free prescription consultations to commemorate National Falls Prevention Awareness Day on Sept. 22. Call For Artists For 2016 Holiday Fair

The Mansfield Art Center’s 47th Annual Holiday Fair is around the corner, and the Center has issued an invitation to consign during the event. For those unfamiliar with the Fair, you are advsed that the Center covers the Fair with experienced volunteers and staff, markets the event, and delivers the audience. Artists are not charged a fee to participate nor need they be present. The Center also assumes reasonable costs for returning unsold merchandise. More…

Juried Exhibition Opening At The Pearl Conard Gallery

New SchoolOn Monday, September 19, the New School 2 juried exhibition for undergraduate students opens at the Pearl Conrad Gallery in Ovalwood Hall on the campus of Ohio State University Mansfield. The exhibition is organized and sponsored by Roy G. Biv Gallery, a nonprofit art gallery located in Columbus.

New School 2 aims to showcase innovative student work and connect student artists from different schools. The exhibition is juried by Marisa Espe, co-founder at M I N T Collectiveand Education Assistant at the Wexner Center for the Arts; David Butler, Education and Outreach Coordinator at the Pizzuti Collection; and Maria DiFranco, a recent Ohio State University MFA graduate and visual artist. Mid Ohio Women’s Business Showcase Coming To The Renaissance

The Richland Area Chamber of Commerce invites the public to attend the 2nd Annual Women’s Business Showcase on Wednesday, September 21 at The Renaissance Theater. This unique and exciting event showcases dozens of local women-owned or operated businesses.

A ribbon cutting at 10:45am kicks off the event and it runs to 1:00 PM. Admission is free and open to the public (registration is not necessary to attend). A portion of proceeds from vendor registration will benefit the Young Entrepreneurs Academy, a dynamic new program teaching middle and high school students to start a business.
