The Sixteenth Annual Ontario 4th of July Festival gives locals a chance to jump start their Indepedence Day celebrations in grand style. This year’s event takes place this Saturday, June 30.

According to the organizer’s website, “Since our beginning in 1969, the Ontario 4th of July festival has aimed to represent “Fun for All Ages”.  After some period of time, the festival stopped due to absence of funding and insurance. In 2002 a small, non-profit committee of volunteers saw the need for the re-birth of our yearly, community event.  This new festival committee breathed new life into the Ontario Fourth of July Festival in 2002.”

The lineup for 2018 promises great entertainment and, as always, a magnificent fireworks display. Here is a complete schedule of events:

  • 7:30 AM Ontario 5K Liberty Run Registration Front of High School
  • 8:30 AM Ontario 5K Liberty Run Front of High School
  • 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM OYS Boys All-star games Marshall Park
  • 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM OYS Girls All-star games Marshall Park
  • 12:00 PM Festival Officially Opens Ontario Schools
  • 12:00 PM – 9:30 PM Laser Force Tag Kids Area — If you like the first player games played on today’s top selling gaming systems, you will love LFCC. No more sitting on the couch. We will put you in the real battle! LFCC is a mobile laser tag business dedicated to giving each customer a real-life gaming experience.  With Laser Force Combat Course, we bring the combat to your own back yard. Attendees are reminded that the Festival is a tobacco and firearms free environment, and are asked to remove all valuables before parking for the event.
