Pleasant Hill Lake Park is holding a Safe Boating & Fishing Festival this Saturday, as a part of Ohio Goes Boating Month.

All events are free, and take place between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

Register begins at 10:00 AM at the Welcome Center, and the first 100 children who attend can win a free child’s lifejacket. Door prizes, DJ music, and food concessions will be available.

Also included are:

  • Fly Casting Skills & Contests 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Kids Fishing (age 12 and under) 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Mermaid Tammy will be at the swim beach from Noon – 2:00 PM
  • Camp NuHop will be providing the log rolling event at the Swim beach area 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Free Pontoon and Sail Boat Rides from the Marina docks 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Gate admission fee may apply. Pleasant Hill Lake Park is located near Perrysville, and offers camping, water skiing, hiking and swimming and much more – including over 80 miles of horse trails and designated horsemen. Camping by the lake is also available for visitors.
