From time to time, we feature information here at 1812Blockhouse about interesting events and happenings within an easy drive of Richland County. We call this series “In Our Backyard.”

Kick off the spring season at the Columbus Dispatch Home & Garden Show on February 19 through February 27.

Each year homeowners flock to the Ohio Expo Center, an easy drive from Richland County, to see the magnificent indoor gardens, get the hottest home & garden advice and knock out their next big home improvement project – all under one roof.

Included is an 8-day “Garden Party” presented by Columbus Landscape Association! With the pandemic comes more outdoor parties than ever before. From a lavish dinner party to a fun family game night, you will find the ideas and inspiration by the area’s top landscape design companies to transform your own backyard into a backyard bash that guests will be talking about for summers to come.

Plus, you’ll find ideas and inspiration from experts, pros, and craftsmen for kitchens and baths, remodeling, outdoor living and every space in your home – in one location for 8 full days. Get your questions answered by pros that know! We are pleased to bring back stage programming featuring cooking demos, DIY presentations, celebrity guests and more!

Time: Saturdays and weekdays (11am – 8pm); Sundays (11am-6pm); Closed Tuesday.

Price: Tickets are available at the door and online at a discounted rate. General Admission (Adult): $10.00 onsite, $8.00 online, $5.00 after 5:00pm onsite only. Kids 17 & under are FREE.
