Dust off those bell-bottoms and get ready to boogie because Avita Health Foundation and Avita Home Health & Hospice are inviting you to a night of nostalgic fun with “Boogie On Back to the 1970s.” This throwback event is scheduled for Saturday, September 14 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Mid-Ohio Conference Center, located at 890 W. 4th Street. Doors will open at 5:00 PM for an evening that promises to transport you back to the grooviest decade of all.
A Night of Nostalgia for a Cause
The Divas & Dolls Committee has pulled out all the stops to make this event an unforgettable blast from the past. The evening will be brimming with the vibrant spirit of the 70s, complete with the era’s iconic fashion, food, and music. But it’s not just about having fun—it’s about supporting a critical cause. Funds raised during this event will directly benefit Avita’s cancer program, providing essential support to those battling cancer in the community.
Dance Like It’s Studio 54
The highlight of the evening is sure to be the dance floor. While it may not be the legendary Studio 54, the Mid-Ohio Conference Center will be pulsating with the beats of R&B, disco, and soul, courtesy of an incredible local DJ and band. Whether you’re a fan of the funky basslines or the soulful melodies that defined the 70s, you’ll find it impossible to stay off your feet.
And if that’s not enough to get you moving, this year’s entertainment will feature a spectacular 1970s Riff Off—a battle of the bands where local talent will take the stage to perform the biggest hits of the decade. The performers list will be revealed in July, so keep an eye out for updates!
