Ten Mansfield Senior High students – five juniors and five sophomores – earned “superior” ratings at the school’s annual science fair this week.

Science teacher Phyllis Randall, who coordinated the fair, said all 10 are now eligible to advance to the eight-county Mohican District Science Day on March 25 at Ashland University.

Judges awarded “superior” ratings to:

Sophomores

  • Aubreion Chatman, “Great Globs of Gluten”
  • Enberly Schaub-Hurt and Destiny Witte, “Colors and the Eye”
  • Joslynn Odom, “The Link Method”
  • Addyson Van Houten, “Cell Phone Reaction Time”

Juniors

  • D’Ayjon Harris, “Saturated Fat of Oil”
  • Cameron Hinton and Emma Sigler, “pH Levels in Different Brands of Water”
  • Matthew Lyons, “Charging with Fruit”
  • Charlotte Harris, “The Heart”

Students who receive “superior” ratings at Ashland University will qualify to advance to State Science Day on May 13 at Ohio State University.
