We bet they had fun coming up with the name of this event!

The OSU Mansfield College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Science invites you to bring the family to their February 29th Syrup and Salamanders event, and it will all make sense. The faculty, staff, and extension educators are working with the campus to manage its 600+ acres of woodlands, which means that they have lots of land to explore.

There are many exciting areas to tour on campus, such as a new sugar bush and a vernal pool.

In between touring the sugar bush and visiting the vernal pool, take a break to eat pancakes with OSU’s very own maple syrup.

The event runs from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM; the cost is $10 per person (kids are free). The campus is located at 1760 University Drive, Mansfield, and participants will meet at High Tunnels behind Key Hall. Register online by February 24. For more information contact [email protected].

Send us your news — of an announcement, event,
