Ontario residents can start applying for preschool enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year beginning Monday, February 3. The process includes developmental screenings, placement options, and important updates for families. Here’s what you need to know to secure a spot for your child.

Enrollment Details for Ontario Residents

Families must complete all sections of Final Forms, ensuring each form turns green to confirm submission. If your child was enrolled last year but did not attend, email Mrs. Stacy Crawford at [email protected] to reactivate your account.

Families should select the 2025-2026 school year during the application process. Once applications are submitted, the preschool will contact families to schedule a developmental screening, which is required for all applicants. Screenings will take place in March and April, and acceptance letters will be mailed by the end of May.

Open Enrollment Information

Open enrollment applications will be accepted starting March 1. These forms must be submitted to the board office and completed on Final Forms. Open enrollment applications are reviewed after resident applications and will only be considered if there is program availability.

Placement and Scheduling

Class placement will be determined based on availability. While families can request an AM or PM session, these preferences cannot be guaranteed. Teacher requests are not accepted. Classes for the 2025-2026 school year begin August 19, 2025, with AM sessions running from 8:40-11:40 AM and PM sessions from 12:40-3:40 PM.

New and Updated Features for Families

This year brings several updates to improve the preschool experience:

  • Snack Program: Students will now receive school-provided snacks. Parents can choose between chocolate milk or white milk for their child. If allergies are a concern, provide a doctor’s note to Mrs. Crawford to arrange substitutions.
  • Report Cards and Conferences: Students will receive report cards twice a year, in December and May, along with any applicable IEP progress reports. Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for November and as needed in February.
  • Backpacks: Children should bring a backpack large enough to hold a folder. Inside, include a gallon-sized zipping bag with a weather-appropriate change of clothes.

Supply List and Wishlist

Parents are asked to provide the following supplies for their child:

  • 1 Box of Crayons (24-pack)
  • 1 Box of Markers (10-pack)
  • 1 Box of Tissues
  • 1 Roll of Paper Towels
  • 1 Set of Watercolor Paints
  • AM Class: Sandwich-sized zipping bags

Additionally, the school welcomes contributions of Playdoh, stamp pads, stickers, Clorox wipes, and baby wipes to help enhance classroom activities.

Families interested in more information about the program or the enrollment process are encouraged to visit the preschool enrollment page or email Mrs. Crawford for personalized assistance.
