Ontario Local Schools is preparing to accept Open Enrollment applications for the 2025-26 academic year starting Monday, March 3. Families interested in enrolling their children in the district must submit applications electronically through the district’s website. The open enrollment form will be available beginning at 8:00 AM that day and all applications must be completed each school year.
Key Application Details
Parents and guardians should be aware of the following important guidelines regarding the open enrollment process:
- A new application is required each year for all students.
- Each student requires a separate application.
- The responsibility for completing and submitting applications lies with the parent or guardian.
- Applications from students who are not currently enrolled in Ontario Local Schools will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Approval and Notification Process
All applications, whether for returning open enrollment students or new applicants, will be reviewed at the discretion of the Superintendent. Families currently participating in the open enrollment program and planning to return for the next school year must complete a new application for each child. Parents and guardians will receive notification of their child’s acceptance or denial no later than the first week of June.
