Students, faculty, and community members at OSU Mansfield will have the opportunity to access vital health services right on campus, as the Third Street Family Health Services Mobile Unit visits on October 15 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Stationed at Lot 1 near the Student Union, the mobile unit will offer a range of medical tests and vaccines without the need for an appointment.
Available services will include flu vaccines, STI testing for conditions like trichomoniasis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea, pregnancy testing, as well as testing for HIV, Hepatitis C, and syphilis. This initiative is part of Third Street’s ongoing effort to provide accessible healthcare to underserved populations. They accept all insurance and offer a sliding fee scale for those without coverage, ensuring that no one is turned away due to an inability to pay.
As flu season approaches and concerns over public health continue, the availability of flu vaccines is especially timely. With a no-appointment-needed policy, this event allows individuals to conveniently manage their health without taking time off work or class.
Third Street Family Health Services, a well-established local provider, has long been committed to offering accessible healthcare to the Mansfield community. Their mobile unit provides a practical and efficient way to bring healthcare directly to the people who need it.
This mobile visit provides an important opportunity for OSU Mansfield students to stay healthy during the busy fall semester and underscores the university’s dedication to fostering a healthy campus environment.
Mark your calendars for October 15 and make your health a priority. For more information, reach out to Third Street Family Health Services or stop by their mobile unit next month.
No appointment is necessary, so whether you’re due for a flu shot or looking for STI testing, this event provides an easy and convenient way to stay on top of your health.
