The Anglican choral music tradition arrives in full vigor on October 9 when Evensong is presented at Mansfield’s Grace Episcopal Church.
Evensong is the sung version of the service of Evening Prayer, a liturgical tradition similar to Vespers in a Catholic and Lutheran setting. While heard somewhat regularly in urban settings, it is not often experienced in smaller communities.
The Mansfield performance will feature singers from Mid Ohio Opera, and an offering will be taken to support that performing arts organization.
The event will last from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Grace Episcopal is located at 41 Bowman Street, near downtown.
