The next few weeks bring two productions to the stage of the Mansfield Playhouse – both sure to generate some laughs on cold winter days.
On January 19, 20, 26, and 27 at 8 PM, and on January 28 at 2:30 PM, enjoy Better Late, a romantic comedy by Larry Gelbart (author of M*A*S*H* and City of Angels). Directed by Mark Sebastian Jordan, this wild comedy features one-liners to flat-liners as it tells the tale of Lee, who is forced by his wife Nora to house her ex-husband, Julian, after the latter’s stroke.
Tickets for Better Late can be purchased here.
Then in February, the characters of Greater Tuna will make their appearance on the Playhouse stage. In this hilarious send-up of small-town morals and mores, they are all among the upstanding citizens of Tuna, Texas’ third-smallest town. The long-running Off Broadway hit features two actors creating the entire population of Tuna in a tour de farce of quick change artistry, changing costumes and characterizations faster than a jack rabbit runs from a coyote. Two actors, twenty characters, and a barrel of laughs!
Tickets for shows on February 9, 10, 15, 16, and 17 at 8 PM can be purchased at this location online.
