Brighten up your winter days with a spark of creativity – the Mansfield Parks and Recreation Department has planned art events for young and old during the month of January, and you can make plans to attend. Details for each event are below; they request pre-registration to ensure that the appropriate amount of supplies are available.

To pre-register, call 419-755-9856; if you leave a message, please include your name, phone number, which class you’re signing up for and (if applicable) how many people you are bringing with you.

  • Monday, January 6 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Burton Park: Senior citizens (age 55 and over) are invited to make a fused glass snowman with Juli Parsons of Lasercraft Enterprises.
  • Friday, January 17 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at North Lake Park: Bring your child(ren) to Family Craft Night and to make two-ingredient ‘soft as a cloud’ play dough.
  • Monday, January 27 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Burton Park: Senior citizens (age 55 and over) are invited to paint a snowman with hearts painting for FREE with Juli Parsons of Lasercraft Enterprises. No skill is needed, Juli will guide you through the process of creating a beautiful masterpiece.
