The City of Mansfield has announced multiple temporary street closures to accommodate critical water main repairs. These necessary projects will impact local traffic and require detours as work crews complete infrastructure improvements.

Grace Street to Close for Four Days Beginning May 5

Starting at 8:00 AM on Monday, May 5, Grace Street will be closed from 8th Avenue to 9th Avenue to allow for essential water main repairs. The closure is expected to last through Friday, May 9, weather permitting.

Construction signage will be placed at the work site, and no through traffic will be permitted in the construction zone. Residents and commuters are advised to seek alternate routes to avoid delays.

For questions or concerns, residents may contact the City of Mansfield Service Complex during regular business hours at 419-755-9806.

Emergency Repairs Shut Down Sections of North Mulberry and West Fifth

In addition, emergency water main repairs have led to the immediate closure of the following areas:

  • North Mulberry Street from West Fourth Street to West Fifth Street
  • West Fifth Street from North Mulberry Street to Coul Street

These streets are already closed to all traffic, with construction signs posted. The repairs are progressing quickly, with a planned reopening set for Monday, May 5.

Motorists are reminded to exercise caution and follow detour signage. Delays are expected in the vicinity of the closures.

City Thanks Public for Patience

The City of Mansfield Service Complex acknowledges the inconvenience caused by these closures and appreciates the public’s patience as crews work to ensure the safety and reliability of the city’s water infrastructure.

Updates on the projects will be shared as necessary. Residents with additional questions are encouraged to call 419-755-9806 between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
