Winter fun is just around the corner as Snow Trails prepares to open its renowned Vertical Descent Tubing Park for the 19th season. Located in the scenic Possum Run Valley—known as one of Ohio’s coldest spots—Snow Trails is a short drive from both Cleveland and Columbus, conveniently located just 1.5 miles off I-71 south of Mansfield.

This year’s tubing park promises the same exhilarating experience for all ages, with enhanced features, extended hours, and the popular Glow Tubing experience included in evening sessions.

Opening Details and Schedule

The Tubing Park will officially open this Thursday, December 12 with hours from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The park will operate from Thursday through Sunday each week, featuring unique hours tailored to maximize the fun.

  • Peak Days: Starting December 23 through January 1, Snow Trails will offer extended hours to accommodate holiday visitors.
  • Glow Tubing: Every night the Tubing Park is open, glow lights will transform the park into a magical winter wonderland. Glow Tubing is included with any 2-hour Tubing Ticket Reservation for sessions after twilight.

Reservations and Availability

Advance reservations are required and can be made online. Walk-up tickets are unavailable to ensure a seamless experience. Tickets are released based on snow conditions, so check back daily if your desired time slot is unavailable. You can also modify reservations up to 24 hours before your scheduled time, which may free up additional slots for other guests.

Snowmaking and Park Preparation

Thanks to early snowmaking temperatures, Snow Trails began building their deep snow base right after Thanksgiving. Despite some warmer weather leading up to opening day, their Snow Grooming Team has worked tirelessly to create perfect tubing lanes atop the compacted snow. This preparation ensures visitors can enjoy smooth, thrilling rides all season long.
