You can travel Ohio later this week without leaving your favorite chair.

The Ohioana Book Festival, which began with just ten authors in 2007, is taking place from Thursday, April 22 through Sunday, April 25. For the second year, the entire event is virtual.

In 2021, some 140 authors and illustrators will be featured. Links will take Festival participants to places to watch panels, podcasts, blog posts, interviews, and more.

At the Ohioana Book Festival, you can hear your favorite author talk about his or her book and their writing process, and ask questions in live sessions.

All types of writing are featured — fiction and non-fiction, children’s literature, short stories, crime and mystery, etc..

The Ohioana Library Association was founded in 1929 by Ohio’s then First Lady, Martha Kinney Cooper to promote works by Ohio authors, artists, and musicians. The Library in Columbus features over 45,000 books by or about Ohioans, 10,000 pieces of sheet music, and more resources.

The main Ohioana Book Festival page is here, where via additional links you can learn more about the Festival, participating authors, a complete schedule, and even a page where you can purchase books referenced during the event.

Send us your news — of an announcement, event,
club news, fundraiser – whatever! It’s easy to do online.
