Do you know someone with special needs who would love to go to prom?
Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience for anyone with special needs who is age 14 or older. The prom is sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation; in 2019, 655 churches around the world hosted Night to Shine events for approximately 100,000 honored prom-goers. The event requires a substantial number of volunteers; last year, there were roughly 200,000 of them.
This February 7, Night to Shine celebrates its sixth anniversary and a local Night to Shine Prom is being hosted by Storyside Church (541 State Route 97 West, Bellville). The Tim Tebow Foundation works with churches for this event as the Foundation wants all attendees to know that they are valued because they are made in God’s image.
Those interested in attending or volunteering, can register online here. A maximum of two people may attend with each prom-goer and the online register form will provide the opportunity to detail any information that the event organizers may need (such as health concerns, communication needs, etc.).

Publisher’s Note: Did you know that Tim Tebow has north central Ohio roots? His great great grandfather was a minister in southeast Crawford County, near Leesville, and near the end of his life sold his farm and built a large house in Galion in 1902. That same house is now owned by and lived in by yours truly. — Thomas
