As a new group is scheduled for our Microbusiness Class on October 21, we would like to introduce another African American businessman who has benefited from working with course instructor, Edward Akinyemi.

Adrian O’Dell is currently one of Edward’s clients through MBAC, the Minority Business Assistance Center. His business is called ARO Aerial Inc., an Aerial Photography/Videography Business in Mansfield City and surrounding areas.”

During our conversation, I asked Adrian what made him want business counseling through MBAC. He said, “Now that I am in business for myself, I feel that being up to date with business principles and practices is a must. I understand my business, but it helps to have guidance during these uncertain times. Having someone like Edward in my corner to provide consistent guidance and reminders helps me stay on track.

When asking Adrian how he likes MBAC and their services so far, he explained, “Some things for me are a refresher. I need help in disciplining myself to do the things I need to in a timely basis as well as to be informed on things I wasn’t aware of.”

With Edward being the business advisor for Mansfield, I asked if he likes Edward’s advice and guidance for his business. Adrian said, “Edward provides a solid balance between firm direction, reasonable expectations, and consistent feedback.”

For his final remarks about the work that is being done, I asked if he would recommend these services to other minority business owners. He confidently said that he would recommend these services to any business owner in the area.
