The Renaissance Theatre will host the first of its three Teddy Bear Concerts in the 2018-2019 Mechanics Bank Education Series on Sunday, October 7 at 2:30 PM.

The performance features three of Aesop’s best-loved fables, The Ant and the GrasshopperThe Boy Who Cried Wolf, and Tortoise and the Hare, which are brought to life by Artistic Director, Michael Thomas in an engaging musical adaptation which features audience participation, interactive storytelling with actors Savanah Pfister and Anna Scheurer, and live musicians featuring the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra’s Brass Trio.

Teddy Bear concerts take place on the stage of the Renaissance Theatre with audience members sitting on the stage alongside the performers. Geared to children ages 2 through 10, each Teddy Bear concert offers an interactive element as well as a relaxed environment. Small audience sizes, lights up, and low sound levels as well as safe sensory-spaces allow audience members with autism to be accommodated at this performance.

Tickets are just $5 each and are on sale at the Renaissance Box Office, via phone at (419)522-2726, and online at MansfieldTickets.com.

This performance has limited tickets available. Additional support for the Teddy Bear concerts comes from Sharon Granter and the Ohio Arts Council.
