“”…I’ve got to protect them. I’m bigger than they.” So he plucked up the clover and hustled away.”

So says Horton, of course, and you may well be quoting him as well if you attend the upcoming production of “Seussical The Musical” as presented by St. Peter’s Department of Theatre and Performng Arts and St. Peter’s Music Series at the St. Peter’s High School Auditorium.

This annual collaboration between the talented parishoners, students, and staff of St. Peter’s Parish and School has become a Mansfield favorite. This year’s presentation will take place between March 31 and April 9 (complete schedule is below).

Seussical The Musical is not only for the young. but for the young at heart as well. This musical by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty is based on the books of Dr. Seuss, primarily “Horton Hears a Who!,” “Horton Hatches the Egg,” and “Miss Gertrude McFuzz,” and opened on Broadway in 2000.
