The City of Ontario is rolling out the red carpet—or in this case, the sandy seafloor—for a magical evening celebrating its senior citizens. The beloved Senior Citizen Prom returns on Saturday, May 10 and this year’s theme is one that promises ocean-sized fun: “Under the Sea.”
🌊 Dive Into the Fun
Held at the Ontario Middle School Commons from 5:30 to 8:30 PM, the event is completely FREE and open to senior citizens from Ontario and surrounding communities. Organized by Ontario Community Events in partnership with Ontario Local Schools, the evening is designed to offer laughter, music, and community connection—all in a semi-formal setting.
Guests can look forward to:
- 🎶 A live band setting the mood
- 🍽️ Delicious food and refreshments
- 📸 A themed photo booth to capture memories
- 🎁 Exciting raffle prizes
- 💃 Plenty of dancing under “the sea”
🧜♀️ A Community Tradition with Heart
The Senior Citizen Prom has become a heartwarming tradition in Ontario. It’s more than just a dance—it’s a chance for older adults to reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, and feel celebrated. The “Under the Sea” theme brings a touch of whimsy and elegance, with decorations and activities that echo the mystery and beauty of ocean life.
“We want our senior residents to know how appreciated they are,” said a spokesperson from Ontario Community Events. “This evening is our way of giving back—and letting them have a night of joy and connection.”
