Special to 1812Blockhouse

For the first time ever Downtown Mansfield, Inc. (DMI) will hold a second Secret City Tour in one year.

DMI’s Fall 2021 Secret City Tour will be Saturday, September 18 from 10:00 AM to 4 PM. Take a peek into some of Mansfield’s most exquisite historic buildings and architectural gems on this self-guided tour. With continued interest in downtown development, this tour offers a unique look to the past while challenging us to reimagine the future of these great spaces.

Buildings on the Fall 2021 Secret City Tour will include:

  • 129 North Main Street (former Eagle’s Building)
  • 23 North Main Street (formerly Yellow Deli)
  • 33 North Main Street (formerly Squirrel’s Den)
  • 70 West Fourth Street (former News Journal Building)
  • 21 East Temple Court
  • 29 East 4th Street (second floor)
  • 27 East 4th Street (second floor), and more!!

“The Secret City Tour is one of our most loved events.” Jennifer Kime, DMI CEO, stated.  “Whether people are looking for a location to locate their own business, just take photos or for the sake of pure curiosity, the tour is always a great opportunity to see unique, often unseen spaces in downtown. This year, there is renewed excitement in activating downtown spaces, so we are excited to be able to provide two tours this year.”

This is a self-guided tour and photography is welcome. Many of the buildings are currently undeveloped, participants should dress accordingly and be prepared to walk. For additional information, please contact 419-522-0099 or [email protected]
