Runners, walkers, and outdoor enthusiasts, mark your calendars for the 19th Annual Road Apple Run 5K, a unique road race set against the picturesque countryside of northern Richland County. The event will take place on Saturday, March 1 at 10:00 AM, starting at Crestview High School, located at 1575 OH-96.

Race Day Details and Registration

Participants can register on race day beginning at 8:30 AM in the commons area of Crestview High School. The event offers a scenic out-and-back course on a quiet country road surrounded by serene Amish farmland. While the terrain is mostly flat with slight upgrades, runners should prepare for a unique challenge—dodging “exhaust” from horse-drawn vehicles.

The $25 entry fee includes a free event t-shirt for those who register by February 21, 2025. Participants will also receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win gift baskets and gift cards.

Awards for Every Age Group

The Road Apple Run celebrates participants of all ages, with awards presented to the first and second-place finishers in each gender across the following age groups:

  • 10 and under
  • 11–12
  • 13–15
  • 16–18
  • 19–29
  • 30–39
  • 40–49
  • 50–59
  • 60–69
  • 70+

Overall awards will also be given to the top two male and female finishers.

Breakfast and Community Support

After the race, the Savannah Lions Club will host a delicious post-race breakfast, available for a donation. It’s the perfect way to refuel and connect with fellow participants.

All proceeds from the event will go toward supporting Crestview’s track and cross country teams, making every step count toward a brighter future for student-athletes.
